I suppose the price question would be similar to phoning an electrical outlet such as Curry’s and asking how much a television would cost. At this, you would probably be told that at one end of the scale you could have a portable for under £50 to a top of the range plasma screen at the other end for £10,000. More than likely you would then go to the store at this point and have a look at the huge range of models to select something that would give the level of picture quality you required at the price you could afford. But I would be very surprised if you just said “give me one for £500” without seeing any of the differences first!

If for a second I keep likening security to purchasing a new TV, I expect you understand that when you pay more you will receive better picture quality, higher definition, brand names, more features, lower profile, etc, etc.

Another problem we have when discussing costs, is that unlike buying a new TV, the overall price is not based just on the cost of the components - it also includes the labour to fit the equipment. And generally speaking it is the labour that is so difficult to estimate without seeing your premises.

As I have said above lots of different systems are available. And I am sure together, we can tailor one to meet your needs and your budget. But how are you going to decide between all of the models? For that matter, do you know what models exist or the differences between them all? 

To help your decision, we can either discuss your requirements over the phone/via email - but we normally arrange to call to see you at your premises. By calling to see you we can bring a selection of the models available so that you can see the differences before you decide.

Having said all that, I bet you still want some prices!

We used to feature some example package deals on this site, however you would not believe the confusion this caused. If you take intruder alarms for a quick example, most customers will not appreciate the subtle differences between say different motion detector models. But these differences can vastly affect the price. As we are a technical installation firm we understand these differences, and as a result we can select the most appropriate models with features that will meet your needs. But package deals and example price pages could not get that message across to potential clients and frequently we had customers enquiring after systems that were completely inappropriate for their needs. For this reason we no longer feature prices.
